No feedback on fiber relocation, ignores attempts to cancel contract, no feedback, no callbacks.
So once again I have to resort to waste my airtime and resources trying to get feedback from my “Service Provider”
After three attempts, my fiber still has not been installed.First installation was scheduled by Openserve for Thursday the 28th of February. No technician attended, no reason given by Vodacom.
Openserve technicians were on site on Monday, and mentioned that they did not have access to the fiber pole.
I made an arrangement with my neighbour to be at home yesterday morning between 8:00 and 9:00, so that the technicians can gain access to the fiber pole.
I confirmed on Tuesday with Openserve and Vodacom that the technician was scheduled for this time. I had people waiting at home for the technician.
Needless to say, technician did not arrive. Once again, no reason or feedback provided. I’ve phoned Openserve, who said that I need to speak to Vodacom for an update. I phoned Vodacom, and they said I need to speak to Openserve.
In total, I’ve spent more than 3 hours on the phone between Openserve and Vodacom. I spoke to Faizal yesterday, who promised that the fault would be escalated, and an order for temporary LTE would be added, until the fiber has been installed. I expressly told him that the installation would need to happen after hours, or on a weekend. He promised that they would communicate this with Openserve.
I received a call from Openserve this morning, asking if I was available for the installation today???
WHY DO I NEED TO KEEP FOLLOWING UP WITH YOUR 3RD PARTY PROVIDER? WHY HAVEN’T I RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT MY LTE THAT WAS PROMISED? WHY DOES NO ONE AT VODACOM KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MY RELOCATION? WHY DO ACCOUNT MANAGERS PHONE ME, AND PROVIDE NUMBERS THAT DO NO EXIST FOR QUERIES OR UPDATES?
As mentioned yesterday, I have already lined up a new provider who would be able to assist me. Once again, after 4 scheduled visits by Openserve, of which only one was attended, it is clear that Vodacom would not be able to provide fiber at my new address. How do I cancel this contract, so a provider who actually is willing to assist, can step in and connect my fiber?
At this stage the whole process is a joke,
I’ve been through R800 LTE data since I moved in, and spent countless minutes on my cellphone, and cannot keep buying more data. I am actively losing money while this joke of a relocation is stuck somewhere in a back office?
Who will be taking responsibility for this stuff up? Vodacom keeps referring me back to Openserve, which is shocking. My contract is with Vodacom, not with your 3rd party infrastructure provider.
If I do not receive an update in the next hour, I will be taking this up with the Consumer Protection Act, and will be enforcing my full right to cancel this contract with immediate effect.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, anyone from Vodacom, phone me back for once??
