No Customer Service from Vodacom

I am currently experiencing immense frustration in trying to migrate my old Smart S contract which expired on the 31st of October 2016 to a uChoose Flexi 110 keeping my current number and phone

I phoned the cancellations department on the 29 September to do this as i was fully aware that I needed to give a months notice to cancel the Smart S contract. I unfortunately did not take note of the persons name that I spoke to but was assured that everything was in order and that this would be implemented from the 1st of November 2016 and that I would also be sent promotional education vouchers that came with the new package via courierwhich never materialised... After about a month and checking my status with the local Vodacom agent in Port Alfred it seemed that my request had been ignored as I was still on the Smart S package. I called Customer Service Cancellations again and was advised that my previous call had been logged but nothing had been processed so they would cancel the original request and redo it and also do the necessary credit adjustments to my account. I happened to be in Port Elizabeth on Monday so checked again with the Baywest Mall agent to be told that the migration would only happen from 1 Dec 2016 and I would be charged Smart S rates until then. The staff member that I dealt with did seem to think that continuing to charge me for the Handset after the contract had expired didn't seem correct? She also confirmed that there had been a credit of R104.32 passed which does not add up . I called Customer Care today in a final attempt to have this issue resolved and was assured by Lebo (Teamleader) that my request would be dealt with promptly and I would receive confirmation within an hour. I certainly hope that this will be the case! I have always had good service from Vodacom in the past and am deeply disappointed that they don't seem to care too much about their customers. It would have made all the difference if thay had just kept me informed and kept the promises that they had made. I certainly dont think it is fair that the customer has to pay for their inefficiency.
