No Customer Care

To Whom it may Concern

This complaint is a follow on to the previous complaint around the 14th September which has still not been resolved.

After sending this complaint and then having to send it to HelloPeter as well, I finally got a response from Vodacom via HelloPeter and they then sent the courier to collect the phone.

BUT, during all the conversations with Vodacom it was explained to me that the contract could only be cancelled once the phone was received back in their hands. The courier collected it and I asked for paperwork to say it was collected but was told that there wasn’t any paperwork but that Vodacom would contact me as soon as it was delivered back to them. Well guess what, nobody ever contacted me but due to the commotion caused I actually thought they would uphold their part of the bargain and cancel the contract.

Need is say more, they ‘DID NOT’ and when I checked my account this month I found that they are still charging me for the new contract including the new phone.

On Wednesday the 23rd November 2022 at approximately 13.11 I called Vodacom and spoke to a Ziyanda regarding this. I was told that due to the taxi strike they were all working from home and that confirmation would have to be obtained from the supervisor on duty on how to handle this issue going forward. I once again believed the call agent as I was told that the supervisor would only be available after 2pm and that they would get back to me after 2pm. THIS ONCE AGAIN NEVER HAPPENED.

I decided to give Vodacom the benefit of the doubt and waited all day yesterday 24th November and now most of the day today the 25th November 2022.

Still having not received any call back, I decided to write this long winded complaint to see if anyone at Vodacom would bother getting back to me. I will wait in anticipation!

Whilst I am waiting for them, I will just add this directly to HelloPeter as well and lets see who responds the fastest!

In summary, I want the old contract re-instated and the extra costs billed to me returned to me. In addition I have asked numerous times for the additional 500mb of data on the account to be cancelled but it is still there. I asked again with Ziyanda who has told me that it will now be cancelled as of the 1st of December, I’m just wondering what year that might be.

I truly hope that the left hand will now be able to get the right hand at Vodacom to get my account sorted out once and for all.

It is so painful having to deal with people that cannot make the decisions, but make promises that they know they aren’t going to keep.

@Vodacom staff, please do what you are paid to do and, @Vodacom bosses, please also do what you are paid to do.

STILL A VERY DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER

This is not a response, its automated, I wonder what due course means and will I be dealing with yet another call agent who can't sort this out without their supervisor, who probably wont be available anyway!
