No authority to repair

I handed in my phone for a quotation on a repair as the phone got damaged in an accident, well 4 days later I query the phone and get told it had been sent to an outside repairer , nobody gave them the go ahead to repair the phone. If the phone does not come back with in its same condition , there is going to be hell to pay
