No assitance to resolve ***** on my number

On 22 June 2017 I reported a ********** upgrade on a number I have with Vodacom, when I noticed my bill was significantly inflated. The ***** was apparently committed via the Vodacom call centre (the upgrades department). I informed the call centre agent it was ***** and requested the number be flagged. On 27 June 2017 I duly sent a police affidavit to ********** stating there had been ********** activity on a number I have with Vodacom. To date I have had no feedback despite numerous calls to the call centre (20-40 minutes on the phone at a time). I was also informed today the number in question was never flagged as I initially requested. I even tried to phone the forensics department with no success, the number just rings. Even the "Solutions" team at Vodacom, when I spoke to them, informed me they struggle to get through to the so-called Forensics department (maybe ***** on Vodacom numbers is very prevalent!?). Despite sending the affidavit a number of times to ********** and also ********** I was informed today they claim to have never received it. As I have to pay (first R869 was debited and now R5,728 is due for a "migration" on the number) until the issue is resolved, it seems Vodacom has no incentive to assist, as they will be getting money anyway. I sympathize with the numerous persons (as reported in the media) who have been subject to ***** committed seemingly by, or at least with the help of, Vodacom employees e.g. how did they know an upgrade was due, have my personal details etc. I don't know if the other mobile companies provide any better service, but on the basis of my experience I can't recommend Vodacom to anyone. I have a number of phones with Vodacom and will in due course migrate them to the other providers on the most cost effective basis. The +/-R24,000 per annum I spend on mobile devices might not be a lot in Vodacom's life, but it will make me feel better.
