No assistance after steadfast assurance of resolution in query.

I am literally being bul**** by Vodacom as I type. On the 19th of November I spoke to their upgrades consultant by the name of Moja, who eventually helped me do an upgrade for their 300gb home Internet Black Friday deal. Little did I know that at the inception that contract I would be kissing my phone/connectivity goodbye. After the data was loaded I could not text, call, recharge via their ussd & I had no idea this related to the data deal as I had verified several times during my conversation with Moja that I could have this on my current line & still have full functionality of my phone, which he ascertained. On the 09th of December I decided to call my service out of frustration & finally realizing that it was in fact my phone which had a problem & not any of the recipients of my communication. I called *** & spoke to a Libron, I was on the line with her for +40mins while she assured me they were requesting a cancellation for this & conversion to my old contract which would take effect on the 30/12/2021 as her advice. This was not so as effective the 31/12/2021 my phones functionality was still not back. I attempted contacting vodacom on the 1st of this month & got an automated response stating they were out of office. Hence I followed up today & I’ve been given the run around since 14:20. I spoke to Lebo Ramokgopa who vowed that she was requesting that the admin department & her supervisor/manager call me back to resolve my issue, to this hour no one has. Instead I’ve been the one calling vodacom again, now requesting to speak to the Libron lady so she can answer why her words from the 09th are empty since C Lebo informed me that no conversion or vocalisation has been loaded after she made me hold +20mins on the day & came back to reassure me that this nightmare would all be over by the 30th of December. Now they are hanging up on me & sending me from pillar to post. The worst is thaa a t t they are now sending me messages, I just received the 2nd message reading “ You will receive an SMS and Email with your exact cancellation or conversion date. Until such time, your Vodacom Contract Cancellation is not confirmed.”. Outright bullying nonsense sent by a huge business to a mere customer who’s been loyal for years on end having contact after contact which cost over a thousand each year now toying with me. Why were these messages never sent on the 9th? Why today? I just spoke to a Daniel from retentions who reassured me Libron would call me back before they knock of at 18:00 “she sits right behind me ma’m hahaha” overly friendly guilty banter. It’s 17:18 & I am eagerly waiting.

So what about the 30th of December that was ascertained to me by your consultant after I queried this on the 09th of December already? Do I deserve to suffer another month for your incompetence? I don’t want it reversed/resolved on the 31/01, I want it done as per your call records with Libron on the phone on the 09/12 promising it was requested, processed while held 30+mins & would be effective 30/12/21. I have resumed duty on Monday & as explained on the 09th & again yesterday, my job is on the line because I cannot use the company phone for its intended business. Can vodacom be in my shoes right now? Who in their normal being could operate with a phone with no functionality except receiving calls? I use my phone/number for work, business & personal affairs. I am now inconvenienced to a point of despair as I cannot text. I don’t even want to imagine what I would be faced with in a case of emergency where I need to make a phone call to an emergency number probably Telkom & my phone would be just giving me 3 beeps after dialling with no possibility of receiving the help I need, simply because Vodacom refuses to take accountability for their failure to implement something they vowed to for their own shortcomings? Should I take the fall for Vodacom by my job, business, safety, wellbeing, mental health, safety & so much more being on the line just for 1 more premium for me, after I have afforded the company thousands in premiums over many years spanning this one? Will my failure to pay my premium at the end of this month or the next because I lost my income resonate with you that some mistakes are costly to your customers? Why not for once put the customer first & accept fault where there is evidently one? I have been patient enough for one month, I can’t do it anymore. Please remove your data package from my phone immediately, I need full functionality restored asap.
