Nightmare experience with vodacom
I was a loyal customer with vodacom for many years and had always been on contract. I then got to a point where I noticed the amount I was paying compared to that of my brother was significantly more yet my brother received more of everything so I ended up taking a new contract with another service provider which I am glad to say has saved me a ton. I then migrated my vodacom contract number to prepaid. I received my last statement from vodacom on the 4/03/2018 for a balance R4080.37. Now that was debited a month later as per the norm debited order went out 03/04/2018. Take note I forfeited all my accumulated minutes and data at the beginning of March 2018 as I was no longer a contract holder according to vodacom. I then purchased prepaid airtime and after loading had vanished I then contacted vodacom to query they informed that everything was ok and that I would receive the airtime momentarily. Do you think that happened? I then reloaded airtime this time it reflected and when I tried converting it to data and the same thing happened it was gone. If this was not insulting enough vodacom then debits for an amount of R2327.04 for the month of March 2018 for data and calls but with no contract charges. I've been contacted by several vodacom agents and none of them can assist and none of them can really answer me, they all pretty much say I need to go to a vodacom outlet so I can be assisted which I feel is absolutely ridiculous due to the fact that at the timeframe in question I was not a vodacom customer so why should I now make an effort when this is plain and simple theft by vodacom. The agents call but when I ask for email correspondence that is never forthcoming. Today I was contacted via email by TERCHIA MASSYN from Jacobs Burnard & Associates to notify me that I had been ITC listed and with a letter of demand. I see this as ******ion vodacom could not justify their fees so they think they will bully me into paying undue fees. I would like to highlight this to anyone and everyone that is doing business or thinking of doing business with vodacom their business practises are not ethical. Be very careful of them as they think they are untouchable!
