New Samsung S7 Broken by Vodacom Repairs
My Samsung S7 received on 13 March 2016 (account upgrade) started presenting problems with its speaker only working intermittently, which I noticed after around 7 days. As I was out of the country I could only return the phone at the of the month (just over 2 weeks after I got it) to the Vodacom shop The Grove. They promised me it would take 7-14 days to repair. It was sent for repairs (job no. ***1), but it is still not repaired and the Vodacare repair centre is apparently waiting for a NEW SCREEN!!!!, which they informed me had broken during the repair process. They have now sent me the same sms ("...is currently in the repair process and awaiting spares") 12 times over the last five weeks! When I phone them they tell me each time they expect the SCREEN"in a few days.." Apart from the time without my phone, they now also expect me to accept a phone substantially damaged, while I paid for a new one! Please note that there was nothing wrong with my screen when I handed the phone in... This is unacceptable, I'm now more than 5 weeks without a phone I pay a lot of money for! I expect an urgent reply from Vodacom.
