New phone on contract and within a week its giving problems

Good day I took a contract with Vodacom on the 28th January 2026. Within a few days my phone started giving problems a Honor 400. The phone switched off whenever and battery don't even last me a day. I phoned Vodacom Trade Route within five days after taking the contract and told them of the problem. I didn't have transport and within Fourteen days I took the phone back to Trade Route. They said use the phone and see if it happens again. I got home and the phone did the same thing. I informed them. The phone is booked in for repairs but my concern is I must pay a contract for 3 years for a phone that is already in for repairs. How does this work, Vodacom is really not serious I must pay so much money and now already I'm without a phone . I'm paying for something that I don't have the joy off. Please can someone get back to me. That is suppose to be a brand New phone and within a week the phone gave me problems. They can cancel that contract because it's not worth it. Merchel ***
