New Phone not picking up my sim card

I did a contract upgrade on the 25th of febraury 2017 at cellucity Somerset mall and the very next day the phone stopped picking up my sim card. I took the phone back and was told that it needs to be sent away for OBF. I gave the phone in on the 27th of feb and by the 8th of march i still hadnt got a verdict yet so I called vodacom repairs and was told that I damaged the sim card slot and because of this they would not be honoring the OBF. Funny thing is that the phone has a setting called secure bootup and when this is enabled it doesnt detect the sim card however when its turned off the sim card was working so how exactly is the sim card slot broken it is a feature of the phone that is not working...plus vodacoms terms and conditions state that OBF assesments "can take up to 5 calander days" and as I type this im sitting on 10 calander days so they have exceded there own Turn Around Time. I am not going to accept that phone and have to pay for it for 2 years when it clearly is not working from day one.I have been a loyal vodacom customer for almost 10 years but honestly if this is not resolved then I will be taking all my future business elsewhere and I am currently looking into my options as far as the CPA is concerned
