New phone not charging. Vodacom won't replace

I purchased a new phone (Sony Z5). After 11 days, the phone doesn't charge. Took it back to Vodacom in Blue Route. They can't replace it (more than 7 days), they can only repair (around 14 days to get it back). What completely upsets me now is that they don't offer a loan device, but yet I am liable for the the costs when I don't have another phone to use. The Consumer Protection Act doesn't seem to be adhered to by Vodacom. So ... my only other option is to pay for a device and service that I'm not going to be able to use as my service provider can't do anything about it. Oh ... and then R12000 to cancel the new 11 day contract, and if I do so, I get to keep a broken device. Nice ... really freakin nice!
Unacceptable ...
