I upgraded my Huawei P30 lite to a new contract with vodacom Cavendish for a Samsung A54 in January. After using the phone for 2 weeks I started noticing connectivity issues, I initially thought it was maybe loadshedding but then realized we havnt had load shedding for a couple weeks and it couldn't be that. Then it started to drop calls and I would need to call clients repeatedly and in turn they couldn't hear me. This was frustrating because I never had this issue in the 5 years of using my Huawei.
I took the phone back to Vodacom Cavendish and they checked it and made an adjustment on settings and said I should use it again. I agreed and used it another week only for the issue to worsen, I couldn't make any whatsapp calls and the whatsapp screen started to freeze. Took it back the next week to repair centre in Canal walk.
They said it possibly the network and made another adjustment and said to use it so I did. The same issue persisted with dropped calls, whatsapp freezing, screen freezing on occasion and then I took it back they said I should go to the Vodacom repair center in Maitland.
Went there explained my issue and they sent it for repairs, 1 week later they said I should fetch it they changed settings etc. I used it same problem, took it back again they said tye gonna book it in. I sent a screen recording of how the screen freezes and they booked it in again. It was at Repairs for 2 weeks now, they sent it to joburg and came back to say there is nothing wrong.
Now I'm sitting with a phone that is still freezing, struggles with signal even if my wife is sitting next to me when I call. The battery last till 5 o clock only and it's a huge problem when dealing with clients.
I've sent requests to customer care and Noone responded.
This is unfair and I paid for a new functional phone as I need it for my work. I've had it for 4 months and it's the worst phone I've had. I never had these issues with my Huawei and I've been with vodacom for years.
I want another phone that functions correctly. Why should I pay for a defective phone for the next 2 years on contract I'm already having issues with.
Please can someone assist for vodacom.
