I've been a Vodacom customer for nearly 20 years. On 20th September I received a call from Vodacom and agreed to a new contract which included a Vodacom Kicka 6 phone. I verbally agreed to the contract on the phone and again in writing by responding to the text message they then sent me. I also had to drop a pin for the phone delivery which I was told would arrive in approximately 5 business days. It's now almost two months later. I have repeatedly called Vodacom and spent hours talking with various departments. I'm told the phone I was promised is out of stock and as a result my contract cannot start. The only solution they offer is to cancel that contract and replace it with a new one that costs more, and doesn't include a phone. Surely this is *******. If they offer a contract and I agree to it they also then have to honour the contract. I feel they need to honour the contract by either finding the phone they promised, a comparable phone, or a slightly better phone and getting it to me. I have spent hours on the phone with Vodacom to no avail. Not once have they sent any communication to me about this situation. Unbelievably poor service.
