New Contract, bad service!

I have been a Vodacom subscriber for many years, and have had great service from them... All this changed recently where i am now contemplating cancelling all my contracts with them!

Last Tuesday (29 Nov, 8am), i called through to the new contracts department to open a new contract (on my name) for my wife. The lady i spoke to was incredibly friendly, took all my details and put my through the vetting process. She then told me that the system was incredibly slow, so she would call me back once the application was approved. By 5pm i had not heard from Vodacom and decided to call the contact centre for an explanation. The second lady i spoke to told me that unfortunatly she could not help me as the first consultant who helped me had left for the day and only she could assist me!

On Wednesday (30 Dec at around 12pm) i had still not heard from Vodacom. I decided to contact the sales department for the 3rd time. The (now 3rd) consultant i spoke to entered my profile and told me that my application was never put through! She could not give me a valid reason for this, but told me that she would put the application through now. 2 min later (after holding) my application was approved. The consultant took all my details (deliver address, work address, home address, contact numbers etc.). All was well and i was happy.

According to the website, Vodacom does 24hr (next day delivery) for new contracts and upgrades... I recieved a call on Thursday (1 Dec at around 10am) form a 4th consultant to say that my new phone is being dispacted from Vodacom in Pretoria . This was a little inconveniant, but i was not in a rush to get the phone. The (now 4th consultant) explained all the terms and conditions and reconfirmed my delivery address etc... Once again, i am was really calm and confrimed all the infomation.

On Friday (02 Dec) i received an SMS from RAM courriers that my parcel was received from Vodacom and it will be dispacted. The SMS read (... Delivery to NEED STREET NAME AND NUMBER...). I called RAM to check if they need my address to deliver to. The (now 5th consultant) i spoke to told me that the Phone was still in Pretoria and still needs to be shipped to Cape Town. The consultant also told me that once the parcel was in Cape Town, the local branch will call me to confirm the address (now the 3rd time i will need to confirm my address)!

On Monday (05 Dec) i checked the tracking on RAM, it said that the Parcel was dispacted and is in Cape Town - FINALLY, so much for the 24 hour delivery!!! But neverless, i should be getting my phone! By 7pm, my phone had not been deliverd!!! I tried to contact Vodacom, but the sales department was closed, as well the RAM contact centre!

This morning (06 Dec) after more than 1 week of phoning back and forth and speaking to many diffrent people, i had a look at the Tracking of my parcel on the RAM website... My parcel has now been shipped back to Pretoria as the delivery address on the Parcel was INCORRECT!!! I have now lost my temper, so i called VODACOM to sort this out. I called the contact centre to explain the situation. According (to the now 6th) consultant, i need to speak to the after sales services and they will be able to assist me. I was put through (to the now 7th) consultant for assistance. The lady i spoke to told me (after having to explain the situation 3 times) that my parcel was shipped back to Pretoria and that there is nothing Vodacom can do... i was told that i need to contact Vodacom once the parcel is back in Pretoria and cancel the contract, then re-apply for the contract witht he correct address!!! I was absolutly shocked, i confirmed my address 3 times, with 3 diffrent consultants! At no point was i contacted to check where the parcel needed to be deliverd to, now i am sitting without a phone and a useless contract!

I asked the consultant how i would know when the phone had been returned to Pretoria to cancel the contract and re-apply... The consultant could not help me, and said it sometimes takes 3 working days then i can call!

I am now reconcidering all my contracts with Vodacom!

This is adertised as such a simple process and a phone will be delivered in 24 hours... But in reality, i am sitting 7 days later, without a phone and needing to call (probably another 7) consultants to cancel a contract becuase Vodacom cant get it right!

This is unfair and i need answers!
