New client still waiting to be activated after a wee****

My wife and I app**** for a contract phone a week ago. We have app**** for 2 contract at the same time however the consultant advised a day later that they have to process the one application first as it was taking to long. Once the first one is active then they can do the application for the second one. The Mobile was approved last week Thursday and we requested to have my wife's number ported in. We were advised by the sales consultant that it would take 24 -48 hours.

We waited the time period that was provided but there has been no change at all. Sunday we went to the store again in Blue Route Mall and was told that they were having issues it was month end etc. We were then informed that it would be within the next 48 hours.

At this point it became really frustrating as no one contacted us about the issues or any feedback regarding our new contract. We were the one's running around trying to get feedback.

We gave it a bit more time since Sunday, Tuesday I called the Blue Route Branch, after about 10 calls to the number finally someone answered, I was advised by the consultant that she has informed my wife the Sunday 24-48 hours from Sunday.

No fault or technical enquiry was lodged, no feedback or followup has been done from Vodacom. Today there is still no change. We are not able to use the new device and as per the terms we have a 7 day out of box guarantee which is now not valid even if the port happens.

I am disgusted with the customer service/ after sales experience we have received as new clients to the vodacom family.

What is the policy regarding me cancelling this contract which has not yet started and returning the device we have not used?

Vodacom you have just lost a brand new client which you could potentially of had for much more than 24 months.
