Never try to cancell a deceased love one's cell phone contract.

My husband had a business contract with Vodacom and died unexpectedly almost 7 weeks ago. It was a one man business, thus he was the only member of the closed corporation. I've been trying to cancel his cell phone account since the 3rd of July 2018 without any success or help from Vodacom - all they say it is a premature cancellation and there is a penalty fee that the company needs to pay. Problem is the company has been closed down, there is no money in the company's accounts and my husband is no longer with us. How is this possible? Am I the first person in Vodacom's history that needs to cancel a loved one's cell phone account prematurely? Yes, unfortunately my husband did die prematurely! They also insist on payment for last month, in the period we tried to cancel the contract. Why should I need to pay for the month if I did everything to cancel the contract?
