Never open a contract with vodacom.
I Opened a Vodacom account on 14-05-2022 for an esim with debit order straight on my account. after a month of a struggle vodacom could not get it working and the consultant offered to cancel the contract(this was amazing service this far) On 02-06-2022 the consultant confirmed that the contract is indeed cancelled showing me the cancelled status on the screen. I have not received any further debit orders from Vodacom thinking its cancelled. On 01-11-2022 I received a final letter of demand from Vodacom via email stating I owe them R2065.64. I went to the store again on 02-11-2022 to try and get the matter resolved however they where not able to assist me from the store and they called their head office while I was there. The customer care service gave me an email address where I should send the query (***) I sent the email to the address with the proof of cancelled status provided by the Vodacom consultant in store. I have not received any feedback from Vodacom, I sent a follow up email on 11 and 13 November 2022 with no feedback. Someone tried to call me on while on leave over December holladay with bad signal and I could not clearly make out what he wanted but it had to do with my Vodacom account, he did not attempt to call me again. I received a call from their lawyer (mbd atourneys) on 17-01-2023 saying im handed over and need to pay the amount.
after sending the lawer firm the proof i received from store (18-01-2023) I have not had a call from them to confirm my email. I decided to call them Thursday (19th) and they advised they cant see the emails since a different department needs to attach the documents to the prodile which takes up to 48 hrs, I called again on monday(30th) and still my documents was not showing advising me to wait more. I called again on Wednesday(25th) now they say the documents are blank and i need to resend it.
it seems vodacom and their lawers cannot provide service since im the one who needs to waste money and time trying to sort out their mistakes.
