Never agree to a debit order with vodacom
You know the quality of a telecoms firm when you cancel the agreement and they stick / don't stick to the original contract terms.
I believe Vodacom might be in the line for a class action lawsuit, as they have instructed their personal / cancellations department to give an explanation as why they continue billing, and as well want to charge a cancellation fee on month to month contracts.
"Staff's response, you haven't been on for more than 2 years so we are going to charge a cancellation fee..."
Ask for contract, look at contract and read out the terms of the contract back to thee cancellation department.
In terms of cancellations, all contracts can be charged a cancellation fee based on a years period if not stated EXCEPT FOR month to month agreements.
Looks like they are still trying to bill me and a seperate consultant gives the same story, when I explain what except means they say if that is true then Vodacom would be liable for allot of money...
Well guess what uneducated staff, Vodacom might be due to this one clause in for a massive class action lawsuit. If anyone has been involved with cancellation fees on onth to month contract with them, and they tried to charge you approach a lawyer and let's organise one of the biggest lawsuits this company has ever seen.
