Nauseating “Customer service”

We as South African consumers will all agree that service levels are substantially below par, especially where after sales service applies. This however was the first time that I have received such pathetic sales service. Not a word of a lie I have been struggling since December 2016 to sign on with Vodacom. Granted the 1st hurdle was courtesy of Avon/Justines bogus ITC listing. Fast forward to 2017, starting with Vodacom Data in Cavendish, then Vodacom Bayside and most recently Vodacom online. I have been greeted with nothing but lethargic sales support. To date I am waiting for either of the three to “call me back”. Every single follow up was done by me (perhaps I should request a salary). Today however was the final straw, I called back once again for a status update only to find out I am declined because of a poor Vodacom credit profile. Which was interesting since last I checked my credit score was 971 (March 8th prior to applying with Vodacom). After insisting on speaking to a manager the truth was revealed that the decline was due to multiple open (approved) applications against my ID number. This after I instructed the folks at Bayside to cancel / remove the approved application done due to their poor service. So today I say to Vodacom never again, I would strongly advise against anyone considering Vodacom as a cellular partner.
