My Vodacom number ******! Call centre useless!

So, I've belonged to the Vodacom network for the last 20 years. I've had the same number all these years. Now suddenly, out of the blue,my number has been ****** and ported off to MTN. I cannot use my number, receive calls, send emails, nothing. After all my years of loyalty, this happens. The Vodacom call centre was useless and couldn't help at all, saying they'll send me an SMS and stuff like that, sms? To where, I'd like to know. Please Vodacom, I've been nothing but loyal, can you just help me get my number back.
