My ****ty Vodacom Story

On the 1st of February 2019 I phoned the cancellation service of Vodacom to cancel a specific phone contract. The consultant that I spoke to, who's name I have as well as a reference number, informed me that the last payment will be the 1st of March. Subsequently I have now been billed for two months for the contract that should have been cancelled by now. At the end of March I queried the excess amount on my bill and a consultant told me that the cancellation request was only logged on the 18th of February, but she would correct it and informed me what the correct amount should be. I then continued to pay the correct amount the following month, but was billed once more for cancelled contract. Their incorrect billing has since put my account into arrears, and as a result my cellular services have been suspended even though I have been paying the amount as specified by the consultant. After 3 days of excruciating phone calls, and having logged a dispute with vodacom on the "outstanding amount", I am still unable to make use of my cellular services even though vodacom said that the service will be restored. With my last call today i could not even speak to a consultant, i merely recieved an automated response stating that vodacom acknowledges that i have been trying to contact them and that a consultant will contact me shortly. It is now 6 hours later and i have recieved no phone call. My services (THAT I HAVE PAID FOR) are still suspended and i am not able to use my phone at all.

On top of all of this, i have been trying to cancel a different contract which ended on the 30th of May, but they will not assist me because of the "outstanding amount". Am i going to be forced to have to pay for a contract that has already ended?

Having to phone vodacom and actually get hold of a consultant makes one's blood boil. The quality of service that I have recieved up until this point has been absolutely appalling. I would not recommend their services anyone. #vodacomMustFall
