My Terrible experience so far with Vodacom
I had a mobile device contract in 2016 that i barely used for up to 4 months yet kept paying until about the 20th month when Vodacom stopped debiting my account, at some point in January 2018 they sent me a mail with an outstanding of R900 which i promptly paid and didnt hear afterwards from vodacom. the account was disabled apparently (i wasnt using the line, just paying for data and voice i never used). Fast forward to september 17th i got a called and email from a Lorraine who works with Burnard Raaf , a collecting agency for Vodacom , stating that i owe Vodacom R5090.93 (their fees included) , I asked to see my statement from Vodacom which she provided that shows ann outstanding of R4200, I discussed paying that money in two instalments which she agreed and promptly made R2500 to their account. She acknowleged receipt of that payment. October 25th 2018 i made the second balance payment hoping my dealings with vodacom had come to an end. Instead she sends me a mail stating that Vodacom adjusted my balance payment and i still owe a total of about R2500 . I asked to See my transaction statement from Vodacom with the adjustment (why would vodacom be making an adjustment after i paid up my account). She instead sent me a made up transaction statement on a Burnard Raaf letterhead (if that doesn't seem like a **** i dont know what is). I told her i wasnt going to pay any difference until i see the transaction statement from Vodacom, which for a month and half she refused to send, instead she kept sending threats via email and sms every morning. She eventually sent the vodacom statement a couple days ago, which shows (thanks to all the deductions burnard raaf made to the money i paid in two instalments) that i still owe vodacom R600 which i have paid to Burnard raaf account and am hoping they send to Vodacom. I have been copying the collections department of Vodacom in all my interaction with burnard raaf but they have only sent me automated case number email replies. Vodacom, please call your uncultured and ill mannered collectors to order. Vodacom is the last business i would want to have anything to do with, thanks to this whole encounter.
