My ongoing battle with Vodacom

In November 2016 I moved a contract from my mother name into mine. I then upgraded on that same contract. I was informed that there was still 1 month that needed to be paid for the existing device on that contract. So I said its ok I would pay it. Then January came and I was charged again for that device as well as the insurance which I cancelled when I upgraded in Novemeber 2016. I then contacted Vodacom and was promised that they would contact me with feedback on my complaint and that they can see that the exsisting contract had expired in January already.

No surprise, I never heard from them again. I contacted they a month later on the 11th February and spoke to a consultant who goes by the name of Simphiewe. He advised me that on their records it shows that the account needs to be credited as they no longer need to deduct that amount. I was also made aware that the insurance which I cancelled at a vodavom store in East Rand Mall was also still running on that same account. Yet again I was promised feedback but received no response.

On the 13th March I received my March account for that contract. To my surprise the contract as well as the insurance was still running on that account. I contacted the Vodacome insurance department and they insisted that in fact it has been cancelled on their side but Vodacom has clearly not verified the cancellation and still decides to charge me. With regards to the contract, when I contacted the Solutions department of Vodacom, I was told that the accounts department has not yet updated my account and credited me for those months that I was charged.

So in total Vodacom has charged me two months for that contract that has expired in January as well as the insurance which amounts to R831. Every month I contact them with regards to their new invoice I receive that is incorrect and the problem does not get reseolved.

I am highly disappointed as I have been a valued customer with Vodacom since 2003. They are very persistent when you owe them money but when the role is reversed they see that there is no urgency. I have be fighting a loosing battle with Vodacom since Novmber 2016. Hence this is why it has come to this point.

I would truly appreciate your assistance regarding this matter, as I have no other solution.

Kind Regards,

Ms. C Mountjoy

Dear Client
I would like to apologise for the service received and all the inconvenience caused.
I created a credit for the one month for the handset instalment. It was approved and will reflect in the Vodacom account reducing the balance. I have also responded to you via SMS.
Kind regards

Dear Vodacom,
I apprciate your response on the issue so I will be credited for February's account and what will happen with March's account? Has it been removed from the March invoice? Else I will be paying it again for no reason. If possible can Vodacom please send me an updated invoice indicating the credit.
Kind regards,
Ms. C Mountjoy
