My number was taken over by someone else

This past Saturday someone managed to do a sim swap on my active number by calling the Vodacom call centre. I informed the Vodacom as soon as I discovered that something was wrong and they confirmed that there was indeed a sim swap done on my number. <br> <br> Their response: <br> - we'll soft lock it
