MY FATHER IS DECEASED - CANCEL THE CONTRACT NOW!!!

My father passed away on December 2021. I had a cell phone contract in my name for his cell phone. I have tried since then to cancel the contract. I was told the last time I called Vodacom at the beginning of March that the contract was cancelled. Today AGAIN, my account was debited for the contract amount for this cell phone. Each time I call the person I speak to says the contract will be cancelled, but it is not. WHAT ABOUT "MY FATHER IS DECEASED AND DOES NOT NEED THE CELL PHONE CONTRACT" do you not understand? I will now take this up with the ombudsman.

Vodacom. Thank you for your response. Thank you to the gentleman from Vodacom who assisted me, and followed up with me. Vodacom needs more people like you who can make things happen!
It is a pity that I had to resort to Hellopeter and to start the process of contacting the ombudsman before Vodacom started to attend to my request - 4 months later.
My feelings about Vodacom remain the same, I was extremely poorly treated.
I wait in anticipation for my refund, and will also monitor my bank account to see if yet another ******** debit goes through my bank account.
Vodacom, you really need to train your staff to listen to your clients and to ensure that customer service remains top of mind.
I will update this post.
