My data budle has been donated to apps I don't even have on my handset.

So, my father passed away on the 6th October and his funeral was held on the 11th October.

Because I was unable to attend the funeral in Malawi, I loaded a 2G data bundle to expire in 30days, over and above the 1GB data bundle I had purchased only on the 1st October 2016.

I monitored my data and started to notice that, it appeared more of the 2GB data budle was being used vs the 1GB data bundle.

The 2GB data bundle was meant to expire on the 09/11/2016 while the 1GB was to expire on the 31/102016.

I continued to monitor.

On the 28th October, I requested a detail of balances and it was confirmed that the 2GB was being use - via sms. The 1GB had over 500MB data bundle left.

I placed a call to the call centre and spkoe to Unathi, she could not explain to me why the data expiring in November was being used instead of the one that was expiring in October, October due to end in less than a week.

She put me through to her "specialist" who said that he can confidently confirm that the 2GB data bundle was still intact and that the 1GB data bundle only had 500MB left.

I asked for a confirmation of the call via sms and he promised to call me by 7:30pm, I never received the call nor the sms.

Monday 31 October 2016, I am unable to use the internet. I cannot connect to whatsapp and the WHOLE DAY, I was on wifi courtesy of my employer.

On Tuesday morning - 01 November, I decide to check my balance as I still cannot connect, lo and behold, not only is my data "depleted" without warning, my airtime is vanished.

I spoke to Babalwa and as pleasant as I tried to be, I was unable to get any assistance unless I can give her 5 cell phone numbers I call regularly. Mind you I only call 3 people regularly and any other person I may have called, their number is new and not saved on my phone so I cannot be expected to remember.

She puts me through to Jody, who confirms he will investigate this and call me back. He tried to call me back at 9am, I was working and in a meeting from 8am that had overflown.

I then get an sms advising me that all 2500MB of data had been depleted between Friday and Sunday by the use of the following:

Blackberry App World

Vlingo

Whatsapp

Twitter

Stun

Dropbox - please note I don't have dropbox on my phone

Instagram - never logged in EVER, my password was settup over a year ago and I could never validate

Blackberry Messenger -

Facebook

HTTP Browsing

CLOSE TO 3GB of data...

I spend +8hrs a day on wifi and use 1GB of data in a month normally but this weekend, I did the VERY UTMOST and blew 3GB of data between 6pm on Friday and 7am on Monday. Off peak hours by the way.

Reviewer Update

Never received a contact from a consultant, just an sms with no explanation on when I used this supposed Dropbox on my phone between the weekend of the 28th October and the 31st.

But oh well, so many queries, who cares about customer service anymore.
