MTN to Vodacom Port - Incompetence, Lies, & Still On-Going

It's now day 28 since I signed up for a new Vodacom Contract and have had no resolution. I signed up to a new Vodacom Contract on the 4th May 2017 through their website. I chose the iPhone 7 phone and the option to PORT MY MTN NUMBER to Vodacom. I was exceptionally specific on this point as I suspected issues given my experience in general with service with network/telephony providers.

As I proceeded through the options on the website and completed the online form, I submitted it and the site said that because I chose to have a number port from a different provider, that an agent would have to call me back to do this as I assume it's more complicated than a simple online form etc. I got the reference number 'FZPC9Z' in an email and was told that an agent would contact me in 24 hours. Needless to say, they didn't. And so the fiasco started and has still not been resolved.

Now to cut a long long story short, a sales lady called Francesca obviously informed me incorrectly. She stated (which is recorded, which Vodacom has acknowledged it's their wrong doing) that I needed to purchase a pre-paid vodacom sim card, port my mtn number to it, then when I received my new contract and phone, they would simply activate my number (MTN now Prepaid) onto the contract.

However, when I received my phone and contract they then said it was impossible to do so and that they had setup the contract incorrectly and I had been ill advised.

It took 2 weeks to get the phone and contract, numerous calls, tweets etc just to get a response from vodacom, and now the only resolution they had was to return the phone and contract, cancel it and redo the entire mess. AND they acknowledged it was their fault yet I'm the one who has to be inconvenienced for yet another 2 weeks.

All the while my Old MTN Number is now on the Vodacom Prepaid sim, AND I COULDN'T LOAD AIRTIME / DATA.

So at this point you would think a manager would get involved, but all that happens is I keep getting Francesca (the lady who caused this issue) repeatadly calling me stating it's been escalated to her (I mean do you normally escalate issues to the person who caused the issue)?

Throughout the process I'm pm the @vodacom111 and they telling me I mustn't deal with Francesca and that I should only talk to her manager because she is mis-informing me.

So I tell francesca, and yes francesca it's recorded, that vodacom has 2 options, 1 I keep the phone and they merely send me a new sim card with this new contract that will have my old number, or 2 - they cancel the deal and leave me with my prepaid vodacom. She tells me this isn't an option, so I ask for her manager.

Long story short, it's now day 28, I sit with the phone, the unopened sim card (new contract) and my Vodacom Prepaid sim with my old MTN number and am waiting for them to cancel my contract and come collect their phone.

It's ridiculous that I haven't received a call from any manager and that this Francesca keeps calling me in attempt to clearly resolve the situation without perhaps her manager knowing about it etc.
