Moving the Goal Posts

I suppose we should not be surprised that Vodacom cannot keep the rates of a signed contract.
I know we are FORCED to sign a contract that says that they can increase fees anytime. But they obviously have no customer loyalty or concern. The quickest way to lose customers is to increase or change the rates in the middle of a contract.
I can understand that all New contracts have the increased rates. But when half way through my contract you increase the rates, I'm done with you. As soon as this contract expires next year, Vodacom will no longer have me as a customer. It's not like they are struggling. They are a multimillion rand entity. It's just greed!

Hello ivort,

For more than 20 years, Vodacom has worked to increase the speed, quality and breadth of mobile coverage in South Africa. At the same time, we've focused on making our services better, faster and more affordable despite the effect of inflation on our costs.

Even with our cost reduction efforts, market conditions have made it necessary for us to increase prices on some of our products.

Our terms and conditions do make provision for changes to existing contracts. All the charges and information registered on the network is governed by ICASA to ensure fair practice.
