MOST HORRIBLE VODACOM SERVICE EVER

My Vodacom 24 month cell phone contract has recently expired so I went to one of its outlets yesterday to confirm if it has indeed been cancelled on the system since I did not wish to do an upgrade. Upon my arrival there I was advised to call ********** which I did and was advised to call 082 111.

Then I got through to a lady called Hope who assisted me and said the contract has been cancelled even though she was persistent that i upgrade or continue with the airtime subscribtion which i geneuinely and claerly turned down and she asked that i state my reasons for declining the offer which i did. Then she said she cancelled the cotract but i will still be debited this month as i should have notified them 30 days prior to the contract ending ,so i was confused and told her that i was never informed of such information hence i did not notify them and thought it will show automatically on their system.

So she argued about the payment and i told her but it was unfair that i be penalised for something i did not know about.Anyway to cut a long story short she advised me that she will transfer me to Accounts Department in order for me to dispute the charge which i gladly accepted. Then she said i was going through but an hour passed and i was still not getting anywhere,so i decided to hang up but to my astonishment after talking to her I could not make any calls anymore.

I called customer care only to be told my line has been suspended. And was told to contact Legal Department as they are the ones responsible for my line being cut, so since 9 in the morning I have been sent from pillar to post by Vodacom’s consultants via transfers and still no help. I tried calling Legal Department whom I was told are responsible for my line suspension with no success ,After a very long and gruesome 2 hours and minutes so of being transferred and hung up on i managed to get through to another pleasant lady called Boitumelo who told me she does not have the system to help me but will transfer me to Legal and she did but sadly the guy who i got through to and explained my story to again decided to pass me through to customer care once more only to be transferred to Legal Department yet again.

At this point i hardly can even remember names of the consultants clearly since i talked to well over 8 of them already. Then i get through to another welcoming and willing to help lady(Julia or Jane) who did her best to help after i told her that i was so exhausted of being passed around to all the Departments there. So she assured me that she will contact legal people herself on my behalf and she warned me that i will be holding for a very long time so that she could find me answers but i still agreed because i have been holding all day already ,this one last time could not hurt. After a while she came back to me and said she cannot get hold of them too and that our call will be disconnected at any minute since it is policy at Vodacom that if a call carries on longer than 20 minutes i will automatically be disconnected

.And guess what it did disconnect hence i am writing on this wall as my last resort because i could not get assisted by VODACOM.So even now i cant make nor receive calls.

All I wanted was a cancellation of a contract and now my line has been suspended. Please assist on what to do as I have been on calls from 9 in the morning until now.AM I BEING PUNISHED FOR REFUSING TO TAKE AN UPGRADE OFFER?

Regars

Extremely dissatisfied customer
