More difficult to cancel a contract with Vodacom then to win the lotto

<p>Ok so my contract is suppose to expire the 16th of October, I want to cancel my Vodacom contract, to be safe i did it a whole while before the contract ending date because i did not want to get stuck with that 30 day notice policy. That is exactly what i did, made a cancellation but i never got a reference number for the cancellation. So i made a complaint on hello peter then i got a reference number for my cancellation which was 1- ********** 9087. Today i phoned them to make sure everything is in order and all of a sudden my reference number expired so in other words my cancellation notice is not valid that i made on 8 August 2016. I asked the person i spoke to today to cancel my contract again and asked for a reference number then i got the following SMS from Vodacom, giving me a 1- ********** 2763 quotation number and a 1- ********** 2982 order number if i wanted to phone them. I am not sure if this means cancellation, but i do not think so? Ask for a cancellation reference number and get a quote and order number? Maybe it is because English is not my mother tongue</p>
