Month of no Service with no end in sight

So it seems I'll have better luck logging a new complaint than continuing with an old one because i was completely ghosted on my last review.

So here goes. I'll start with one positive, after a month of calling every day and being told about escalations, and being told I'll be called back (Again, that never happens, ever), I had to finally call and basically demand new answers. I tried to make it clear to Vincent from the Fiber call center that I was not trying to fight with him and that I just need to find out what was going on. He took the time to listen to my complaints and accepted that I wasn't ready to hear the same things that I had been told before (we'll escalate, we'll call you back) because I have heard them for just over a month now and nothing has changed. He was able to finally get me an answer. Not what i wanted to hear but I basically has to harass a call center agent to finally be told that the item needed to fix my fiber is on order and there isn't a timeline on when that will a Arrive.

I really cannot overstate how many times I was told that I will be called back and yet no one calls me back. Why do people who do this think this is okay. I give my SR number to every call center agent and as they can see how long its been open and make it clear that nobody calls me back, and yet they go ahead and do the same. Multiple times. Only one ever said she call me back if there's an update and I understand that there wasn't an update, so I accept that there was no reason to call. I have no idea what the other people's conditions were on calling back so I'll never know why they didn't, but that is neither here nor there at this point.

So the reason for my call at this point is to get more questions answered because I guess I have to get comfortable with the idea that I have to be without fiber for a while now (why am I still a customer here?):

I know all about the downtime credit. But it means nothing to me at this stage because I have no service today and I have the accounted debited on top of having to spend more money on Internet Cafes for studies, data Purchases, Travelling to work for getting work done. I am pretty sure I cannot have the debit order stopped for this period (although do let me know if that's an option because It would because great to use that money to make up for the things I have to pay for in place of the service I am not getting). I would like to know if there is any Value add (over and above the downtime credit, because that's just a refund in all honestly) I can get to make up for this terrible experience. I know I won't get money I spent on the alternative connection solutions, but I think it would be nice if we could get something for the inconvenience of having to travel to internet cafes, books spaces at work, book spaces with Unisa only to be given a space in another city, and having to do this for over a month now. Please do get back to me on this.
