******R removal
So my Wife took out a new contract in Nov 2016. She used it till April 2017 and since then the sim has just been laying in the drawer since then. Last month she took it out and found that all her monthly airtime allocation has been depleted.
She called Vodacom and was made aware that some ******R (R5) a day service was activated on 29 April. She was not aware of this. Vodacom said that they would deactivate the service. R1150.00 of airtime has been take from her account from April to September. She never registered for this and has never even heard of ******R.
They told her that they have now de-regitered her for the service. This was on 09/10/2017, ref no 1- ********** ********** .
Suprise Surprise, it is still going off. She has SMS'd Stop to the numbers provided, but to no avail. This has got to stop, because she is not getting to use her R200 topup airtime. The only thing to do is to stop the contract, unless Vodacom can guarantee that the service will be stopped once and for all and refund the money lost.
Please have a senior representative call her on her cell to address the issue. We expect better from Vodacom of which me and her have both been clients for over 10 years. If you cannot stop the service and follow up to ensure that the service is stopped, please arrange for the cancellation of the contract and subtract the R1150.00 from the buy out clause.
This is not very good customer service. We have already consulted with a lawyer that specializes in these kind of disputes, however we do not want to resort to that when I know Vodacom can help us. There has been a lot of stuff in the media recently regarding data going missing, we can now add airtime to this list. I'm sure the media will have a field day with this.
