Money Vultures - AKA Vodacom
I had been on a call with Vodacom for an hour - since 16:10, in order to assist me with the status on my data line contract. This contract came to an end on 28th Feb 2020. I had been called, or harrased, by their upgrades department in january on numerous occasions wanting to upgrade the data line and thanking me for my loyalty. I had told the consultants I was waiting until the contrat to come to an end as due to their poor service and issues I had in 2018 - i no longer wanted to be on their network and was waiting for the current contract to expire. I asked them to ensure that this was noted on my profile.
I had emailed vodacom on March 30th as I noted a debit from them on My account and no one had responded to the *** email address and requested they contact me urgently. No response. I had then called a week later to the *** customer care number and due to high call volumes was asked to leave my number which I did, for them to call me back.No responce. I emailed again on April 15th. No responce.
I called today at 16:10 and was transfered to 4 different consultants in an hour. Eventually I was assisted by Mpho Moshoeshoe at 16:51 whom advised me that their Cancelations Department would not assist me with cancelation until payment was made on my account which was in arrears. This amount now totaled to R130.13 which was their usual debit order plus R100.88 late fee as I had requested my back to reverse for the March fee as the contracted ended in Feb. Mpho also advised that a bill for April had already been generated as well and confirmed that this was done, even though I was on a Month to Month basis and NO USAGE of the data was noted on this line for April.
Mpho advised that after the Feb expiration the line goes on a Month to Month basis until the customer calls in to cancel the line. I advised her that I had emailed, I had called, I had emailed again and hence the reason I had to call again today. Mpho advised me to make the payment now of R231.01 the current arrears on my account, and she would call me on Monday 20th to follow up if payment was recieved. I processed the payment based off the invoice she sent me while we were on the call and I made the arrears payment whilst on the call confirming the Proof of Payment would be sent to *** .
I had done all this just so that their Cancelations Department can assist me with cancelaing a Month to Month line.
This is the same issue I had in 2018 for which I recieved communication on September 06th 2018 from Tsepo Moletsane from their eService Team apologizing for the level of service and advised that their was a request for them to credit me then on my account due to the the matters that had transpired and no one following through on my account query which had started on June 28th 2018, assisted by Kelly May.
Vodacom is the worst customer focused network I have ever been on - EVER. If they spent half the amount of time the do on advertising and marketing than they do on customer care and communication, maybe I would still be on their God foresaken network.
I need this nightmare and period of my life as their customer to come to an end.
