Money taken without my knowledge or permission

Vodacom has been deducting amounts off my account, with my vodacom bill each month, for the past 4 months for something they call “Entertainment Services”.

I contacted them and they said it was for a gaming subscription that I subscribed to. I told them that I haven’t done such thing. I’ve never subscribed to any service nor have I requested it or signed for anything. So I requested they do a refund. The consultant said it’s not Vodacom it’s the gaming company. But it’s on my vodacom billing invoice, which vodacom is deducting from my account. She said I’ve clicked on something on the internet. But I haven’t done anything of the sort. I don’t even play games on the internet. To subscribe to something you have to put in your details, agree to make payment and physically subscribe. I have not done anything like that. I have not given vodacom any permission to deduct any money from my account other than what they do for my contract.

I have researched this issue with vodacom on google and came across a number of disgruntled clients who have had the same issue with Vodacom. They say it’s Vodafone Live which looks like an app that you can download ringtones and all sorts. I have never signed or taken any subscription for that. I want Vodacom to reimburse me the money they took off my account for all of this.

Vodacom said that they have cancelled that service and would credit my account of any amounts taken off for the service. But this month they have again deducted my monthly subscription along with the cancelled service ignoring the fact that my account was in a credit. When I called them the consultant said she can see a credit was ordered but nothing was actually done about it. This is a month ago! I want this credit to be done and I want them to reverse my debit order and put the money back into my account.
