Money for nothing

I decided to buy SMSes instead of just 'airtime' as my airtime runs out so quickly and I wanted to be sure I could stay in touch- especially in an emergency. I bought the SMS bundle from my FNB online banking and as soon as the notification came through to confirm my purchase I was told my SMSes would 'expire' after a certain date. No warning of this 'expiry' date is given prior to purchasing the SMSes.<br> Firstly, SMSes are not a food product - they don't go 'off'- so why do they come with an expiry date? Secondly - how is it fair practice to inform me after the purchase about conditions attached? Lastly, this means that any SMSes that I don't use within the allocated time become forfeit which means the money I spent on these SMSes is WASTED - or one could even argue - ****** - as I paid for something I didn't get to use. I would like to know why I don't get refunded my money for the 'expired' SMSes as I PAID for these. I would really like someone to explain to me how this policy benefits me, the customer because right now I am feeling ****** and taken advantage of.
