Mondo/Vodacom data+Laptop+Data+Voucher Black Friday special

On or around the 26th of November 2019 I received a call from an agent from Mondo representing Vodacom and offered me a 14" Mecer tablet, 80G data + Wifi router and online Education voucher for only R349 pm for 36 months. I asked several times if this was not any sort of a prank because it sounded too good to be true and I was assured that delivery will be made early December and I should rest assured that this was no prank or ***** as non of my banking details were taken as this I am already an existing Vodacom contract customer.

As a result of this offer, I did not pursue Black Friday specials with other retailers and I have been wanting a laptop and a router and has always planned to get it cheap during the Black Friday.

I waited for the delivery and I received no communication or indication of the status of the order and then on the 09th of December 2019, I called Mondo to follow up and I was told that I have been declined by Vodacom due to poor credit. Mondo gave me Transunion and Vodacom details to follow up on the matter.

Upon following up on the matter, I discovered that NO enquiry was made on my credit at Transunion and my score is 706 (80% better than average).

If Vodacom and Mondo does not want to do business with me, I am fine with that and I don't care for that matter but what really upset me is that I was not informed on time regarding their decision thus denying me an opportunity to shop for Black Friday specials that I have been waiting for the whole year for Black Friday. My wife even joined Netflix as a result of this offer from Vodacom Mondo deal.

I am very upset and I will take this further to social media because I think I have been taken for a fool, maybe there are many others like me who sat around during Black Friday and did not shop for what they have been saving for because of promises and/or lack of prompt feedback from Mondo/Vodacom.
