Mondo/ Vodacom Rewards ************
I was due for a upgrade this month. So I received an unsolicited call from Vodacom Rewards informing me 1. that it was not a promotional call 2. that I qualified for a discount on a larger plan as I was a long-standing Vodacom client (20years). They did not inform me that it was for a SIM-only upgrade or that the so-called deal was for the same amount as advertised in Vodacom. I declined to proceed but the caller had already sent a quote so I ignored the subsequent texts. What I did not realise is that within 2 minutes of sending the quote, he also proceeded to process the upgrade WHICH I DID NOT WANT. The texts did not contain a link to see what the terms and conditions were and the texts were titled very strangely so I did not immediately realise that this is what happened. 4 days later when I received the Welcome message from Vodacom & realised what happened I was sent from pillar to post trying to cancel this unwanted upgrade so that I could proceed with the upgrade I actually did want. The first 2 call centre agents told my husband & I that it would take 48 hours to reverse. When the reversal had not happened within 76 hours, they changed their tune to 3-5 working days. The follow-up call was another round of being referred back and forth as neither Vodacom nor Vodacom Direct nor Vodacom Rewards want to take responsibility for the reversal. The moral of the story: all call centres are ************. If this is not resolved by Friday, I will be openeing a case of ***** against Vodacom and Mr. Chetty, the original scheister
