MOBILE CARE NOT DISCLOSED BY AGENT WHEN SELLING ME THE PHONE

I upgraded my phone on 05/08/2017 at Vodacom Weskus Mall and was assisted by Annemarie at the Vodacom Shop. She sold me a Samsung S8 phone and I went back to have a Tempered Glass cover fitted.

I have only now found out, after dropping my phone (tempered glass made no difference unfortunately), that ADH Premium is not available on the Samsung S8 and that I should have registered for Samsung Mobile Care within the first 2 months of purchase. I was not informed of this by the Agent and am most upset as my screen will now cost me R5500 to R10000 to repair. If she had advised me of this service I would have activated it the same day, just as I had with my previous phone when ADH Premium was the way to go.

No one told me ADH Premium only applies to phones older than the Samsung S8. Hence my reason for still having the app on my phone.

I can't afford to repair my screen now. I work with clients all day, and walking with a severely cracked front screen. I am ANGRY that this was not disclosed to me. After all, I am the Consumer and protected by the CPA. I would NOT have bought this phone if I had known that Samsung Mobile Care would cost me an extra R79 per month for 24 months IF my phone was registered on their network before the end of the 2 month period. Why did this Agent not advise me of this when I upgraded my phone????

Still no reply from Vodacom regarding this. I am going to go to the Consumer Council.
