mixed up two contracts

This is so frustrating. My husband has two contract sim cards, one for his phone and one for a tablet. He did an online upgrade on the tablet and that is where it all went wrong. His BUSSINESS phone has been updated with a tablet contract. His phone is now data, he had to buy airtime, no caller ID nothing. According to VODACOM the only solution is to send the tablet back to the warehouse get it scanned in, then only will they be able to reissue another tablet on the correct contract and only after that will they be able to reset the contracts and get his business phone back to normal. This happened a week ago, they still have not collected the tablet, he can’t use his phone for business, he is patiently waiting, and I want to scream about the utter incompetence at VODACOM. Once hands are tied. Is there no oversight at VODACOM, how is people appointed to positions if they can’t distinguish between two numbers, are they illiterate? Are there no checks in place? Or is this again a ****. This tablet will not be reissued again as it is now second hand, so my question is who is benefiting from this? The incompetence is phenomenal, and the public just have to swallow. Vodacom does not have the most clients in SA because they are delivering exceptional service, but because South Africans does not have a choice. If people working for you do not take pride in their work and get the basics right it is indeed a very say day. When you phone you would hold for an hour and then get cut off. Do you understand why I need to scream!!! We can be such a great country if people can just be held accountable for their actions!
