misrepresentation on Vodacom contracts

Complaints - ********** - Unhappy customer I took out a contract with Vodacom in March 2019, the contract was a promotional offer online for my Huawei P30 Lite for R299 per month, my contract was voice logged and I agreed on paying the amount of R299 per month, I spoke to someone by the name of Lee from the call center and he advised that I was correct and need to call billing for them to rectify, the billing department advises that in April the fees increased and hence my fees are now R319. This was not discussed with me or advised. Please could my call recording be retrieved and my contract amount be rectified as was agreed. If not I will take the matter further as I will not allow Vodacom to exploit me in this manner. The South African consumer act clearly states that consumers must be provided with the facts needed to make informed choices and ensure their protection against dishonest or misleading advertising and labeling. I app**** for the below but am being charged extra for increases I know nothing about and was not informed about.

Your right to disclosure of prices of goods and services • Suppliers are required to display the prices of goods and services, in full view of consumers; • Consumers have the right to request the unit cost of goods and services, so as to avoid any ‘hidden’ costs. • Suppliers are required to specify the duration of any promotions in catalogues or brochures, failing which consumers have the right to purchase the goods or services at the specified prices. • Consumers have the right to demand paying the lower price for goods displaying two varying prices – suppliers are not permitted to charge consumers the higher price for the same goods.

they provided me with a complaints email address which does not even exist, my next step if i am still not assisted is to the ombudsman as this is treating customers unfairly and against the consumer protection acts.

If i received this communication i would not be complaining about it, nor would i have taken out the damn contract, because now as i log this complaint the exact same contract i initially took out is available at the price of R299 which i don't understand if you are telling me about increases. thanks for nothing i will be taking this matter further.
