Misrepresentation

<p>I was on a month to month data contract with Vodacom. I called them to cancel it they offered me more data for the same price on the same terms which i accepted, i did this as i knew it would me the option to cancel when a better deal comes along. I recently tried cancelling the contract and was told that i had signed a fixed term contract and had to buy myself out of this contract. Im really angry as i asked the call centre agent specifically if the contract was on the same terms. what recourse do i have as im being kept hostage by a contract i don't need.</p>
