Misleading Vodacom Deals
I have been a loyal contract customer for the past 8 years with no major hassles. I am currently due for an upgrade and enquired about the PS4 as an accessory to my upgrade. 3 weeks later after visiting 3 different i.e. Chatsworth, Bluff and Gateway twice - as well as contacting Westwood and Pavilion - I am told that the PS4 is out of stock and no longer available. I initially enquired about the deal at the Chatsworth store who advised me that they had no stock and that I needed to try Gateway. I then checked in at Bluff who informed me of the same. Both these stores were quiet honest and upfront. So I went to Gateway as directed. My husband went during the week and they advised that the deal was available - so we went that weekend. On Sunday I was told by the consultant Roseanne that I needed to give me details and she will order the stock which will be delivered by Thursday the same week, I then will have to go back to upgrade. I asked her for her assurance that they had stock which she assured me - at this point it was not a matter of deal availability but rather that they just had no stock instore. I waited till Thursday where I called twice and yet again asked the consultant on the phone, Niren, to that they did have stock but it was just a question of delivery which he did. However when I finally get to speak to Roseanne today 20/12/2019 I am told that the deal is no longer available as they do not have stock. And that I must phone Westwood and Pavilion - which I did and they also confirm that it has been discontinued. -- A good adverti*****t may get people in the door, but false promises doesn't mean you keep those customers Vodacom. This was meant to be a gift for my 3 special boys - and not what do I tell them? Mummy **** or is it that Vodacom weren't honest enough with their promotions and its availability!!!! It is sad and frustrating. 1. Why is there no communication between stores because they are different owned by franchise managers - a customer is asked to do all the leg work, it shouldn't matter who owns it, YOU ALL OWN THE BRAND VODACOM which is what a customer steps into the store. 2. Why is there no communication regarding the deals? If a deal is no longer available it should be communicated to all within the store/database. Why cant the warehouse inform the branches or memo them in come way. I don't mind that I'm late to the party with the upgrade deal BUT what I do hate is that I was made to believe something was an option when it wasn't, I hate that I gave my kids hope only to dash it, I hate that a brand that I trusted I now leave with a very bitter taste in my mouth. VODACOM YOU ARE TRULY A DISAPPOINTMENT [Please don't email me or phone me to explain unless you can fulfill what you promised].
