Misleading Vodacom advertising of product.

Deceptive marketing on product details.

Vodacom advertises a summer sale deal of 7.5Gb (normal hours) and 7.5Gb (midnight hours till sunrise) of cellphone data for a month plus 2 months free Youtube Premuim. That's all they describe the product as for R99.

Once you sign up, they send you via sms your free Youtube Premium 2 month code you have to use on Youtube site to get it connected to your Youtube account. Once at the site and after entering the code, Youtube then asks for your credit card etc details, as it turns out it is free two months of Youtube premium which automatically will be charged reoccurring going forward at the normal Youtube Premium rate if you do not return and cancel the service by the end of the second month.

Effectively the "two months free YouTube premium" is actually "paid for youtube premium with the first two months free thereafter continued monthly paid subscription which allows you to cancel in the first two months".

I personally expected two months of YouTube premium access that would automatically terminate at two months with no possibility of me being charged any extra fees should I fail to perform some action before the end of the two months. I consider this so materially different from what was advertised that I did not sign up for the two months free trial of YouTube premium.
