Misleading telesales

About a month after I upgraded in April 2017, I received a call from a telesales consultant. At first I did not want to listen to his sales pitch, but he was persistent. He offered me a router with the same data I currently receive but paying R50 less per month. After lots of questions I was satisfied I understood and accepted the sale. The month after the first debit order was taken, I was shocked at the amount. I contacted the call centre on the 22nd of June to enquire. The consultant explained about connection fees etc. and advised me to wait for the next statement to be generated after the 5th of July to be able to establish what the regular payment will be. When I called again on the 10th of July, I was told about the "second" contract and the billing. Immediately I relayed the situation to the consultant and that I want to dispute the sale. I was transferred to Patrick and he advised me of the 72 hour waiting period for the dispute. I received 2 calls 2 days in succession, unfortunately I cannot remember the date and as I was driving at the time, I did not write down the names. Both ladies confirmed that the telesales consultant misled me and apologized for the inconvenience. I confirmed to both of them that I want to cancel this second contract. Both of them said they will get back to me with details of when the router will be collected from me. The next debit order was debited and I knew the contract was not cancelled as promised. I reversed the debit order at my bank. Upon contacting Vodacom there is apparently no feedback yet from the sales department about the telesale and they make as if I am smoking my socks! A lady by the name of Mahle would call me back since the 8th of August 2017. Now Vodacom is calling me every day to make arrangements on the arrears payment.
