Misleading Marketing

It is a very sad day if the largest Cellular company knowingly applies a description to a contract deal that is extremely misleading. I recently upgraded one of my lines with one of the Vodacom deals which appeared on page 30 in the December deals booklet. Part of the reason for me selecting this particular deal is because it showed that I would receive R1700 in guaranteed vouchers. When I eventually received the sms which had a link to my vouchers, I was totally shocked to see that I only received a R200 worth of vouchers and not a R1700 worth of vouchers as stated in the booklet. I am aware that it states on page 2 of the booklet that you could receive vouchers up to the value of R2700 but there are various different deals in the booklet which have there own caption which displays a specific value and states that that specific value is guaranteed to be yours. Some deals show a value of R2700, some show R1000, some show nothing and some like my deal show R1700. So this to me and I am sure in the consumer protection act constitutes as misleading and I am therefore informing Vodacom that if I do not receive the R1700 in vouchers which was guaranteed to me then I will have no choice but to approach the Consumer Protector.
