Misleading Information Resulting in Acc in Arrears

Good day

On 01/01/2016 my phone contract (number ***) provider was experiencing issue where a great amount of their customers were double debited and this led to a social media outcry where I came across the news. Immediately I called Vodacom from my cell phone *** on 03/01/2016 at about 8AM to check if this was the case with my account too. I spoke to a lady, I then proceeded to ask her if I been double debited and she said yes, I ask her if she was 100% sure about this and she confirmed. I realised fine I will simply go to my bank and reverse the payment. I told the lady not to take action but to send me a reference for this call (***) she said fine no problem and we ended the call.

A few days after I reversed the payment I received notification from Vodacom to tell me that I am now in arrears and have been charged an extra R100 as a unpaid debit fee.

First of all, Vodacom has inconvenienced my entire life now! and charged me for that error too because at this point I do not have the money the money as I was under the impression that it belonged to me. I want to be compensated because I cannot afford such mistakes in my life.

Please help me!
