Misleading Adverti*****ts - Vodacom
I have laid numerous complaints against Vodacom and nothing gets done. Vodacom advertises deals they can't / don't want to honor. The first excuse I got from them over a month ago was that there's no stock available in the country and now the second excuse I got was that the deal is not valid and it was advertised on their website for only one customer, so my question is what am I and why advertise the deal on your national website for all of South Africa to see and apply and you can not honor it? I can't even complain about their customer service because there is none. I'm still waiting for a manager contact me and it's over a month now. As per consumer protection act below they are not allowed to advertise a deal and not honor it:
"Price:1 23(6) Subject to subsections (7) to (10), a supplier must not require a consumer to pay a price for any goods or services— (a) higher than the displayed price for those goods or services; or (b) if more than one price is concurrently displayed, higher than the lower or lowest of the prices so displayed… (9) If a price as displayed contains an inadvertent and obvious error, the supplier is not bound by it after— (a) correcting the error in the displayed price; and (b) taking reasonable steps in the circumstances to inform consumers to whom the erroneous price may have been displayed of the error and the correct price. 30(1) A supplier must not advertise any particular goods or services as being available at a specified price in a manner that may result in consumers being misled or deceived in any respect relating to the actual availability of those goods or services from that supplier, at that advertised price. (2) If a supplier advertises particular goods or services as being available at a specified price, and the adverti*****t expressly states a limitation in respect of the availability of those goods or services from that supplier at that price, the supplier must make those goods or services available at that price, to the extent of the expressed limits."
They are breaking the law and getting away with it. We are all accountable for our actions and they must as well.
Thank you for your response but please who are you tyring to fool here??
I'm patiently waiting for a manager to contact me for a month now.
Explain to me why you would get a consultant to contact me when your consultants can't help?
Please refer back to my recent conversation on the 2nd / 3rd of June 2020 with one of your consultants, she could not help me and she would get a manager to contact me and I'm still patiently waiting.
Then refer back to my conversation in the beginning of May 2020 regarding the same deal where a consultant again couldn't help me and a manager would contact me and I'm still patiently waiting.
I luckily have proof of everything which have been forwded to the The National Consumers Commission.
You should reconsider who you hire in your company because your client liason officers and your managers are much worse than your consultants.
