Misleading advertising on Black Friday Deals - Vodacom reluctant to honor adverti*****t

Vodacom advertised Black Friday deals online on the vodacom.co.za website. http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/shopping/black-friday

I ordered a Samsung GalaxyJ5 Prime on a uChoose Flexy 110 package. The deals were advertised as being valid from Friday 24 November to Monday 27 November 2017. I ordered the handset on Saturday 25 November, and received an email confirmation with reference number and Vodacom phone number to call if I didn't receive a call back within 24 hours.

I didn't receive a call back and I called ********** 4. The consultant advised me the deal was only valid on Friday 25 November and my order number is not valid. Vodacom offered me a more expensive deal and told me the online advert was incorrectly advertised on their website.

Vodacom customer care (082 111) was unable to resolve the matter and asked me to email Vodacom at ********** for a response. They didn't respond to my email, but I phoned them. A consultant at likeminds.co.za was able to order the device, but advised me it must be confirmed by another Department and they will call me back the same day. It didn't happen, and Vodacom customer care (082 111) was also unable to get them (Confirmations) to call me back.

I am still waiting for Vodacom to call me back to confirm the order.

The misleading Vodacom online adverti*****t stated " free next day delivery ", but it's 4 days since the order was placed and Vodacom advised me the Black Friday deals are not processed quickly, and I can't expect Next Day Delivery.

Vodacom should know there are high volumes on Black Friday and should have systems in place to handle the volume.

List of issues: a) Vodacom tells you the confirmation reference number send by email (from Vodacom) was not valid.

b) Vodacom tries to sell you a more expensive package, and does not want to honor Black Friday deals. If you purchase a more expensive contract you can get the handset quickly.

c) Vodacom make you wait more than half an hour to speak with online orders.

d) The Black Friday deals are misleading advertising and the Next Day delivery is a ****.

e) If I knew Vodacom was so unreliable I could have purchased a Black Friday deal or phone at another retailer during the Black Friday weekend.

f) Vodacom Customer Service (082 111) is unable to efficiently resolve an issue as it's at a different Department (online orders). They have to wait for more than 30 minutes and are also unable to get a quick resolution.

g) There are serious internal problems at Vodacom and the Departments frustrate customers. The one blame the other and Vodacom treat customers horribly.

h) Vodacom also advertised reduced rates for add on packages on this deal, but does not want to honor it

If you believe a Vodacom Black Friday advert, you will get a surprise as they don't want to honor it and you will need to proof everything. Take screenshots as Vodacom is reluctant to honor their own deals, and the entire experience is a horror.

The customer service consultants tried their best to resolve the problem, but they are unable to do it. This problem originate at senior management of Vodacom and the they have no respect for their customers and customer care consultants, and do nothing to quickly resolve problems as they don't care.

It's probably much better to order a phone at a Vodacom retail store or purchase a phone from a retailer which gives it immediately to you as the Next Day Delivery is a **** and you will not receive it in the advertised time. The online deal was cheaper than the store and it's the reason I ordered it online, and I believed the misleading "Next Day Delivery" claim as stated on the Vodacom website.

Customer service consultants at 082 111 tried their utmost best to help me resolve this matter, but the Directors of Vodacom are the real problem, as they created these systems and they don't care. http://www.vodacom.com/board-of-directors.php

The response from Vodacom above is a generic response and not a sincere way of dealing with the issue. Vodacom provided the same response to all complaints on hellopeter.com I have not been contacted by Vodacom to address this complaint made on hellopeter.com

Good day

We regret taking note of your experience.

I have escalated this matter for feedback and possible resolution but cannot guarantee anything.

Regrettably as per the Terms and Conditions, the deals are only valid while stocks last.

Regards

Moddy

I missed a call from Moddy Motebejane, but received an sms from her. From the message it appears to me if they didn'y propery investigate the order. It's impossible for me to contact her. I was just advised by Moddy the phone is out of stock, whilst an internal order was placed on the system by Vodacom's vadmin Department. Vodacom customercare just want to get rid of you ! They are not serious in resolving customer complaints as they despise their customers. Vodacom may state in these forums they are sorry, but it does not appear to me if it's genuine. The Black Friday deals appears to be a **** from Vodacom to say they also have Black Friday deals, but it appears if they had no intention to honor it. There are several complaints below of the same issue. From this experience you can't trust the validity of any online order made on the Vodacom website, and don't expect Vodacom to remedy problems either.
