Mislead by a Vodacom agent

Hello, An agent from Vodacom Insurance department by the name of Zolani Mahlangu called me regarding insurance promotion which I was interested but I explained to him about my phones network situation and he told me I can still have the insurance and He told me I can link my previous MTN prepaid number to the Vodacom contract no: that’s when I asked if it is possible as it didn’t make sense what he was saying but he insisted that its possible to link. Then he activated the insurance before linking my number(by making a call to the prepaid dep). I called the prepaid center to do the link as he said I should , At the center they told me they don’t link numbers and they don’t know nor do linking of number, called the center again still same respond then asked to speak to the Team leader which I didn’t get her name she promised that I will receive a call back from the agents team leader within 24hrs but still nothing...Through the whole process I feel cheated, ******, and mislead by an agent Who didn’t know what he was doing and a Team leader who didn’t keep to her promise. Thanks
