Misinformation and *****ulantly using my account for debit without my permission
My name is Kathleen Gilden account I***. I signed up with a Vodacom fibre in April with your consultant who did not explain in detail as a friend was assisting me when doing the application. I am not educated in terms of these things, well all seemed to be good as I am a pensioner and went every month to pay my fibre account in the Vodacom Shop. Until Mid July 2024 when our fibre line was disconnected. One of my neighbors helped to call and to my horrid surprise I was informed that I was in arrears. I was advised that I have a debit order on my account of which I don't recall giving my banking details for a debit order nor permission to have a debit order on my account. With this being said I have my bank unpaid debit order and unpaid debit order amounts added to my Vodacom account. I am very unhappy about the fact that your company can raise a debit order on my account without my consent and with the new regulation I have not agreed or approved for this to be done. I have since been to your store to cancel this fibre account not being told that I will still have to pay R11260. I was led to believe I can cancel at any given time but I now face legal action for misinformation being given to me and my bank account being debited without my permission. When going to the store the gentleman who came to sign us up at home would not assist as he knows all that has taken place in this regard. I am really feeling distressed and unhappy and I need this matter to be attended to urgently by the CEO of Vodacom as a matter of urgency as this is *****ulent when they take your details and do things without your consent. I have never been in a court or had to face legal action in my 76 years that now i am facing such
